Good Company

One For All by Burntout Bookings and Sancho’s Dirty Laundry

Description

Held in the courtyard of the Palko building in Braddon, One For All was a fully accessible event held in collaboration with Sanchos Dirty Laundry.

Featuring local artists Tiarnie, Flik and Miroji, this music event was complemented by an AUSLAN interpreter onsite and was live-streamed to the Burntout Bookings Instagram.

“It was a really eye-opening experience, and I thoroughly look forward to working with You Are Here again in the future and will definitely work with each stakeholder in this event (especially our musicians, event poster artist and media team) again at some near point in the future.”

Good Company was a small grants program (part of artsACT’s Creative Recovery and Resilience Program) designed to turn businesses all over Canberra into places where art happens.

Artists were able to apply for a $5000 grant which supported them to produce an in-person arts event, situated in a Canberra venue or business between January – April 2022.

The goals of Good Company were to put money into the pockets of artists and arts workers, support arts events to happen in the ACT, to foster creative relationships between artists and businesses and to bring people and activity back into businesses that continue to be affected by COVID.

A total of 12 events were funded through the grant program with $60,000 delivered to the arts community.
